This beautifully unique necklace is made of sterling silver and Colorado Amazonite. Amazonite is the state gemstone of Colorado and found in the Pikes Peak region.
The pendant is 1 1/8 " long and comes with a sterling chain. The stone is turquoise in color with soft white waves throughout.
Amazonite is believed to have been made into jewelry since the 10th Century BC and has been found in Ancient Egypt in the treasures of Tutankhamen.
It is in the feldspar family and a 6- 6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. Caring for this gemstone is simply with soap and water and a soft cloth. Don’t use harsh chemicals on it.
This was handmade by our jeweler and silversmith, Mark Nelson in our Colorado studio. There are matching earrings and a ring. Additional pieces can be ordered as supplies last.
