This is a Smokey Green Serpentine stone from Rist Canyon, CO with a splash of chert showing in the lower corner.  The stone is wrapped in sterling silver and the bail has a nice twist at the top.  It comes with a sterling chain.

The stone was cut and set in our Colorado Jewelry Studio as was all the silver work.

Serpentine is often confused with Jade as it so similar in appearance.  As a result, it is often called "new jade".
